Junk Journal 100 Day Project Start
Last year, I discovered the Junk Journaling 100 Day Project well into its run. I didn’t know when it started and had no details about it. This year, by happenstance, I heard about it just a couple of days after it began.
I stumbled across a YouTube video by Margarete Miller discussing her plans. I was watching an unrelated video by Margreth of SevenPlaza at the same time. She was creating a wonderful Travel Kit… a project which was calling my name, loud and clear. 😉

All in all, it came together for me. A creative challenge (which I love), and two great projects which dovetailed perfectly.
Yep… Count me in!
Many people are not aware but one of the fastest and easiest ways to jump-start creativity is to impose limits. Yeah… counter-intuitive for sure, but highly effective. 😉
Pulling from these two projects by Margreth/SevenPlaza and Margarete Miller, I decided to use a 3″x5″ format. I’d cut the cards out myself (which meant I could print on letter size first and then cut out). I also decided to use a WhaleTail tab on each one, decorate both sides, and would use as much of my own ephemera as possible (both my own designs or stuff I physically had). I also decided to modify and build a version of Margreth/SevenPlaza Travel Kit.
Here are the first sets of 3×5 cards I printed and the Travel Kit I made…
